Imelda Tirtadiredja teaches yoga therapy for children with special needs. She is a child psychology graduate and has been working professionally since 2009. Participated in the kids yoga teacher training from Global Family Yoga, USA. She also received a diploma for children with special needs from the Council of Allied Educators.
Yoga is the connection of the body, mind and breath through a series of guided poses and sequences. Those special children have to unlearning about their limits, to become limitless. As she said, yoga as the master key which will opens those locks.
Many parents ask questions if their child was too late to do yoga, or when they should start doing yoga. The answer is, nothing too late or too early do do yoga. Just do it NOW and be present.
